Seasons Change, Summer turns to Fall

I found this in one of my old portfolios and i probably made this about 2 and 1/2 years ago at the same time i made the first drawings of the personified colors characters. It is hard for me to look at my old work (or any of my work if i see it too often no matter how proud i am of it) because its kinda really bad.
I know that this had nothing to do with the seasons when i made it and even when i finished it and stored it away, i think it was about mixing colors seen how human versions of colors were what i was making at the time, but when i looked at it earlier today i couldn't help but think of seasons of the year. Even the leaves on the clothes expressed a season but it wasn't on purpose to make it about that.
As you can tell my art has changed, it has less sharp lines and better anatomy (still not that good though and it frustrates me). What has also changed is how long it takes for me to sketch to color and to finish a drawing. This one took about 4-5 days of my free time at school and some at home to finish, now it only takes me a matter of any where from collectively 1-15 hrs (maybe more) depending on the detail in my pictures to go from sketch to finish. For example, Red's Bright Smile, which i did only 4 or 5 days ago, only took about 4 collective hours. Its just a weird thing i noticed, maybe i got more efficient and use to how to color. idk
